The nomadic residency program an• other here allowed the artists Dounia Chemsseddoha and Lisa Hoffmann to meet residents and explore the village of Montbrun-les-Bains in Drôme Provençale. Dounia leans towards artisanal practices inherent to local nature, using rituals as a means to reveal their ancestral virtues. Lisa articulates photographic and textual gestures as formal vectors to trace manifestations of the invisible. Together they sediment with the non-human, revealing the fragile, the moving and sometimes the intangible. 

Lisa Hoffmann’s last event generated a performative walk, punctuated by reading stages that highlighted the particularities of the territory through a kind of involuntary poetry. In that way Lisa Hoffmann pointed out to the mystery of specific words both vivid and complex. The walk was followed by a collective narration near the fireplace at the residency house. This event was organized and curated in complicity with Polynome, a collective of art workers from Marseille.
